To advance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of congenital lung malformations in children from prenatal detection through long-term follow-up through collaborative research, shared expertise, and evidence-based practice

Founded in 2023 by Shaun Kunisaki, our group is comprised of pediatric surgeons, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and radiologists from leading USA-based academic institutions dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with congenital lung malformations.

  Congenital lung malformations (CLM) are rare, and the clinical decision-making governing their management is complex. We have successfully established a retrospective registry to examine management practices and clinical outcomes relating to CLMs which has paved the way for our new prospective study.
